It’s almost that time again. Season 2022 cars have been revealed and tested and all the drivers you love and love to hate are making their way to the starting line in the Middle East for the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. It’s the first race in a series of 22 races scheduled this year, including the inaugural Miami Grand Prix.

So, it’s time to start your engines, Formula 1 fans! In testing in Barcelona in late February (it continues into early March), Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are topping the time charts for Mercedes, followed by Sergio Perez for Red Bull, Lando Norris for McLaren, Charles Leclerc for Ferrari, and our 2021 champion Max Verstappen for Red Bull.
Will we see Verstappen and Hamilton battle it out for first again this year as they did for the contentious 2021 race season?
The first practice three practice races of the season are Friday, March 18, followed by qualifying on Saturday, March 19, and the big first official race Sunday, March 20. The race takes place over 57 laps at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain at 8 a.m. local time.

Last year’s season will be hard to top. The bulls and the silver arrows battled for podiums through much of 2021 up until the very last second of the season. Hamilton is back to reclaim his championship podium from Verstappen, though, so we’re sure to see sparks fly as Verstappen attempts a two-time world reign.

Watch 2022 Formula 1 live stream in the UK
In the United Kingdom, you can stream the 2022 season of Formula 1 through C4 or Sky Sports.
C4 or Channel 4 is a free-to-air public service TV station in Britain, and it streams live from its website and app, All 4, which you can find in the App Store and on Google Play.
Sky Sports also streams Formula 1 through its broadcast network. Fans can watch live coverage of F1 through Sky Sports with a Sky Sports subscription, starting at 20 euro per month for the version that includes Formula 1 races.
Can I watch the 2022 Formula 1 season in 4K?
Technically, F1 is not available in the United States as a 4k live stream. Some fans think the F1TV subscription service offers the best quality live stream at 1080p at 50 frames per second.
Some streamers like FuboTV stream certain events such as Formula 1 in 4k HDR, however these streams are upscaled as the original content is not actually shot in 4k. It does make for a clearer, crisper picture, though. In the UK, Sky TV offers 4k streaming of Formula 1 if you own the Sky Q device, which is a separate cost.
